Deb has been working with her to say I Love You and they believe she said it for the first time since the accident. She is able to hold herself up in a sitting position for several minutes at a time. She wants to talk and pray so bad and isn't giving up. And to think that a few months ago doctors told her she would be paralyzed. Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 @ 10:24:59 AM Just thought i'd let you guys know the latest update on laci and rick as of this morning.Laci had a reasonably good night. They were able to turn her over on her side without her body resisting, which is a good sign. The doctors are starting to lower her blood pressure which they were keeping raised. Her temperture has dropped to 99 and seems to be staying there and working to keep coming down and not going back up for now. Her ICP pressure has dropped to 16 and it seems to be working its way down to where it's suppose to be. It has been spiking back up over the night. Her vital signs are good and the doctors are decreasing her pain medicine now as much as her body will allow. Wayne said they are seeing some improvements, but she is not out of the woods yet. He said, "We are living a day at a time. Everyday is a day closer to when we are able to bring Laci home with us."As you know Rick is at the Drake Center for rehab. Wayne said that to visit Rick you have to wait till 4:30pm, after the day's rehab sessions. (Visiting Hours Start at 4:30pm.)Once again the family says thanks for all everybody is doing, thoughts, prayers, calls and they ask that you keep on doing what you have been, especially the thoughts and prayers.
